"I think it's brought the world a lot closer together, and will continue to do that. There are downsides to everything, there are unintended consequences to everything. The most corrosive piece of technology that I've ever see is called television--but then again television at its best is magnificent."
Steve Jobs

Technology has its advantages and disadvantages. As a future educator I must decided those for myself and my students. I want to always give my students as many opportunities as possible to learn and grow in their knowledge. If technology can aid in that....Great! But if it seems to be more of an unnecessary device, I will not try to implement it. It should always play to the strengthens of my students not hinder them in anyway.

Technology in the lives of my future students

“We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher’s hand, because it is the pen and paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of our world.”

Technology is something that does play a huge part in the role in classrooms in todays world. It is left up to the teacher just how far he or she will allow it to impact their students. I feel that it can be helpful to students in their education when used in the correct ways. I love the idea of using technology to enhance education! Technology like the SmartBoard, laptops, and other useful devices can really benifit the way a teacher teaches.

~Technology in my life~

Technology is a part of almost everyone’s everyday life. We wake up in the morning and check the weather using our iPhones or computers. We go to work or school and have to use technology in many different ways. As a future educator I have to learn to implement different forms of technology into my classroom. I feel that it can enhance the learning for my students and make some tasks easier for me as a teacher. Things such as Smart boards, computers, software, and iPads can be extremely helpful in a classroom. The most important aspect to focus on for technology to be useful in the classroom is having pre-set plans in place. As a teacher I must have ideas and plans ready to go before my students arrive. That means I must make sure the equipment is working properly and ready to go for the school day. This will insure a less stressful situation!
